Notting Hill Internet Services: ten years of Keeping IT Simple.

When Notting Hill Internet Services first opened its doors, Google was just five months old, and Amazon had only just started operating in the UK. Photo-sharing site Flickr wouldn't be on the scene for another five years; blogs were barely thought of, and if you mentioned computers, talk would turn to the inevitable end that awaited us all, thanks to the millennium bug.

Google, Amazon and Flickr may survive, but the history of the Internet is littered with many names whose fall was as sudden as their rise. Who now remembers Boo.com or Go.com?

That's why we're raising a glass at Notting Hill Internet Services. Ten years in such a fast-moving industry is no mean feat, as we're sure you'll agree.

Why have we survived while so many others have not? We put it down to a simple fact: the technologies may be new, but our ideals are not. Customer service, value for money, and transparency will always win through, online or off, and those are at the very heart of what we offer.

It's true that things change faster on the Internet than in any other field. That just means that we have to work harder to live up to our promise of Keeping IT Simple. Over the last ten years, we've kept abreast of new technologies, tailoring and simplifying our offerings so that one thing has remained constant: you, the customer, can come to us with little or no knowledge, but you'll walk away with a full understanding of what you need to get your business working online.

Behind the scenes, of course, there have been a few changes. Notting Hill Internet Services began as a small operation run from my bedroom. These days, our premises are on Ladbroke Grove and we have a design and web development team of over 250 people.

Over the last ten years, we've created over thousands of websites for small and medium-sized businesses, and run more than 600 Internet marketing campaigns. Each customer has taught us something new, giving us a wealth of knowledge to draw upon.

It's satisfying to look back on those ten years and see the companies we've worked with enjoying new levels of success thanks to the sites we've built for them. But even more exciting is to look forward to the next ten years. What new technologies await us? We can only wait and see.
